Vintage Stoneware Pitcher

Sale price$195.00

A striking mid-century stoneware pitcher by French ceramicist Gustave Tiffoche**, known for his sculptural forms and rich glazes. This piece features an earthy olive brown glaze over a gracefully curved silhouette with a side spout and strong handle. The surface features subtle speckling and natural tonal variation, adding movement and dimension to the piece. Tiffoche’s signature is inscribed into the base, and a small studio stamp is also visible near the foot—likely his stylized “GT” monogram.

8 1⁄4” tall, 3 1⁄2” across the mouth, 4 1⁄2” across the base, 7” at its widest

Style it with wildflowers or kitchen tools, or let it stand on its own as a sculptural piece. The earthy glaze and generous form give it a grounded, functional beauty that suits both rustic and modern interiors.

Tiffoche (1930–2011) worked in Guérande, France, and exhibited widely during his lifetime. His pieces are increasingly sought after by collectors of mid-century French ceramics.
