Vintage French Ironstone Bowl
Vintage French Porcelain Lion’s-Head Pot
Approx. 3.75” tall x 5.5” wide
A classic French pot à tête de lion in bright white porcelain, featuring the traditional applied lion mascarons and pedestal foot. This is the same iconic form used throughout French bistro service for individual portions—gratin dishes, baked onion soup, and œufs cocotte—but also styled beautifully today as a planter, utensil cup, or small catch-all.
The lion head is in the mid-century stylized form, with a soft, rounded modeling typical of 1950s–1970s French production. Clean glossy glaze with light age-related wear consistent with vintage porcelain. Unmarked, which is common for utilitarian hotelware.
A timeless, sculptural accent for the kitchen or shelves—simple, French, and endlessly useful.
