Ironstone Soupière Ladle

Sale price$105.00

Elegant in form and function, this white ironstone ladle was likely made in England between 1890 and 1920. Designed for use with a soupière or terrine, it features a sculptural handle with organic ridges and a generous bowl with a pour spout. The white glaze has a soft, even tone and remains free of crazing—a rare and desirable quality in antique ironstone.

The handle evokes the form of a vine or tree branch, with flowing, naturalistic ridges and a graceful curve—offering both visual interest and a comfortable grip.”

Underside shows classic kiln stilt marks from the firing process, a hallmark of 19th- and early 20th-century ceramic production.

  • Dimensions: 10” long x 8” wide; bowl approx. 4.5” x 4” x 1.25”

  • Sculptural handle with a rustic, naturalistic form
  • Likely English, c. 1890–1920
  • In excellent antique condition with minimal surface wear
