Vintage French Ironstone Terrine

Sale price$78.00

Vintage French Porcelain Terrine with Lid

Approx. 4” tall x 6.25” wide

A charming vintage French porcelain terrine with its original lid, featuring an applied rocaille-style handle—a scrolling acanthus motif typical of early–mid 20th century French utilitarian porcelain. The form is classic and practical: a small covered pot used historically for pâtés, cassolettes, or oven-to-table dishes, now equally lovely for salt, herbs, or serving on an apéritif table.

The glossy white glaze catches the light beautifully, and the pot shows gentle age-related wear consistent with vintage French kitchen pieces. The base is unmarked, which is common for this category of hotelware and household porcelain.

Light signs of age. One handle has a small chip/loss to the upper scroll (photographed).

A simple, sculptural piece that brings a touch of French kitchen tradition to open shelving, everyday cooking, or entertaining.
