A French oval miniature portrait frame in cast bronze doré — confirmed by the reddish undertone visible beneath the gilt and the uniform verdigris patina throughout. Louis XV Rococo, 19th century. The asymmetric C-scroll surround with floral clusters and modeled bloom crest is fully in the Rococo vocabulary — animated, organic, and finely cast. The moiré silk interior lining may be original. Dual-function: a threaded bail closure — rarer and more refined than the typical pin or tab construction of the period — allows the back to open for hanging, while the hinged tabletop easel functions independently. No hallmarks visible.
