Antique French Faïence Pot
Antique French Faïence Pot by Fenal Frères
3.75” tall, 4.25” wide
A beautifully mottled French faïence pot in soft café-au-lait tones, glazed inside and out with the fine network of craquelure and warm staining that collectors prize in early earthenware. The cylindrical form, rolled rim, and sponge-applied surface give it a gentle, textural presence. Marked on the base with the crowned-shield “Porcelaine Opaque F.F.” hallmark of Fenal Frères, Faïencerie de Pexonne, dating to around 1900.
Excellent condition with minor age-related wear.
A charming and functional little piece—perfect for utensils, flowers, or styling on open shelving. Originally used as a small table pot for cream or soft cheese, it carries the quiet, utilitarian elegance that makes early French faïence so collectible.
