Antique Félix Potin Confitures Fines Jar

Sale price$245.00

Antique Félix Potin Confitures Fines jar, late 19th to early 20th century. Heavy French faïence fine with the original blue transfer reading “Confitures Fines Félix Potin Paris.” Beautiful age throughout with the warm, authentic crazing that collectors look for. The base shows the period underglaze factory stamp and impressed mold number, confirming original production for the Félix Potin grocery house in Paris.

Lovely condition for its age with no major chips or cracks. Surface crazing, small kiln and set-down marks, and light wear to the rim are all consistent with normal use and add to the character of the piece. Interior glaze is intact. Please see photos for details.

Style it in the kitchen with utensils or dried flowers, or use it as a sculptural accent on open shelving. The soft blue transfer and warm ivory glaze work beautifully with natural linens, stone, and the layered French country palette.

A classic piece of Parisian épicerie history and a highly collectible advertising jar.
