Oil on wood panel depicting a sunlit French courtyard with trees and a pitched-roof well or garden structure. Soft, natural palette with dappled light and shadow. Unframed. Panel has developed a gentle warp from age and shows surface wear, scratches, and areas of soiling.  The piece reflects the Post-Impressionist provincial tradition in France, combining Impressionist-influenced light and color with a more structured, representational approach. It captures the charm of everyday French architecture bathed in dappled sunlight. The looser brushwork in the foliage and foreground contrasts with the more defined architectural forms, a hallmark of late 19th to early 20th century regional painting.

Condition: As found, with age-related wear and warping to the panel.
