Antique carved wood wing fragment sourced from a Parisian atelier, likely originally part of Italianate architectural or ecclesiastical ornament from the 18th to early 19th century. Paris workshops were known for blending Italian carving traditions into liturgical sculpture and decorative boiseries, where winged motifs symbolized protection, intercession, and elevation of the spirit. Salvaged long ago, each fragment now carries the quiet patina of time with softened edges, worn carving strokes, and traces of original surface.

Each ornament is finished with antique ribbon hand sourced by foundresse, adding an authentic textural note and subtle color variation to the display. These can be hung on a tree, tied to a key, suspended from a cabinet knob, or layered on a peg rail to introduce sculptural presence in small spaces.

The wood shows age appropriate wear with small losses, marks, and tool impressions from hand carving. All irregularities are stable and true to the history of the piece.
