Lovely hung on a tree branch, a cabinet knob, a frame corner, or layered on a stack of books. These ornaments blend seamlessly with antiques and add a refined historical note to holiday decorating.

Historical Context
Escutcheons were once essential decorative elements in French furniture-making, adding both function and ornament to drawers, secrétaires, and armoires. Their motifs often reflected broader design movements—Louis XVI wreaths, Empire laurel, Belle Époque scrollwork. Repurposed as ornaments, they take on a new life while preserving the craftsmanship of their era.

General disclaimer: Antique item; variations in patina, wear, or coloration are consistent with age.
